The Facility is underground, that's the only thing the captives know
about the place.
The Facility is underground, they whisper, and while there are
conjectures as to where, nobody knows for sure.
But it's always cold. Deathly cold.
Setting:
A place known as "The Facility". More specifically, within a large room
in the very underbelly of The Facility. The room is divided into three
parts by shatterproof glass barriers, time locked and electronic. There
is only one door in, and it leads into the first part of the room, empty
except for a few chairs and a low coffee table. A door opens into the
second part, which is the largest, and houses a ramshackle assortment of
cages with various inhabitants. The second part leads to the third,
which houses large metal supply cabinets a set of steel operating
tables, and a large desk strewn with books, papers and the occasional
cup of coffee.
Most scientists live in separate quarters higher up in the Facility. The entire compound is military run and military funded. Soldiers act as guards and many doctors have had prior military experience. There is a 'biodome' of sorts where the abilities of experiments are tested. Sometimes for potential buyers, and sometimes for sport. There is a room designed for solitary confinement, and there is an armoury, surveillance room, and a level devoted to hydroponics. The Facility is self-sustaining.
Plot:
The Facility is an illicit testing site for the United States
Government, genetic testing to be exact. It is here that the country's
dregs, unwanteds and runaways are held after being captured, drugged,
and operated on. Spliced with animal DNA to give them enhanced senses
and attributes. Of course, the experiments are just that, experiments.
And some have gone horribly wrong.
Needed: Experiments, soldiers/guards, and scientists.
A/N: I will be playing initially as Raston Wolfe, the scientist who's office and living quarters are in the third, back part of the holding area. The other scientists live in the civilian quarters.
Military Overseer is taken as well.
Character Sheet Format and Example:
Name: Raston Wolfe
Age: 23
Gender: Male
Position: Scientist: Chief Handler
(If experiment) What spliced with:
Appearance/Personality: Raston Wolfe is tall, about 6', and pale. That's the first two things people notice about him. He has blond hair, and anti-freeze blue green eyes that dart about incessantly, never looking a person in the eye, never focusing on anything for longer than a few seconds. He also stays still, unnaturally still, except for his fingers, which are long and twitch constantly. He has dark, permanent circles etched under his eyes, the products of chronic insomnia. He wears a blood-spattered white canvas lab coat with Kevlar underneath and at times, glasses with the right lens shattered. He is rather unstable.
History: Raston Wolfe is one of the original staff of the facility. He has created more experiments, ruined more lives, and murdered more 'beasts' than anyone else. He keeps to himself and has chosen to live in the office-room adjoining the Holding area, and is allowed to because of his seniority. He is the chief handler of the Experiments as well. He takes medicine for unknown reasons and his weapons of choice alternate between a taser, scalpels, and a long, cruel nine inch knife.
He does not talk about what he was before he came here.
Enjoy!
